Underachievement: Breaking the Cycle of Failure:
In two hours, Dr. Peters addresses the following timely issues:
• Almost one-third of high school freshmen do not graduate. This disturbing trend in the American educational system is addressed theoretically as well as practically. Underachievement, based in lack of study skill training, is discussed in detail in this section of the presentation.
• The building of study skill training, involving the Daily Report Card System and the Study Buddy System is presented. The audience is given specific instruction on how to increase the effectiveness of youngsters' study habits via these two systems.
• Participants are provided with materials that they can employ directly with their clients or their own children to enhance academic achievement.
